Measuring where to drill for the tail stop. No one ever thinks about it, but finding the center line on a guitar really sucks.....EVERYTHING IS CURVED!!!
I drilled the started holes for the tail stop studs with a forester bit. That way when I drill the actual hole the metal stud will sit flush with the body.
Now that I have my shiny new pickups, I made an MDF template and routed the old cavities (which were for mini-humbuckers) so that they would fit. Now that this is done I can stain the top and sides and let the stain cure (which takes several weeks in the humid climate)
